MAIN SEASON FALL CLASS REGISTRATION
Policies and Registration Information:
The Dance Studio will offer Main Season/Fall classes from September 9, 2024-June 2, 2025
Please review our class list below for the classes that we will offer this season! Classes will be held at The Dance Studio (3163 Mystic Valley Pkwy (Rt 16 East), Medford, MA).
POLICIES:
- All missed lessons must be paid for.
- There will be a $25 fee for any returned checks.
- There will be a $20 late fee for any balances over 4 weeks overdue for classes.
Any dancer who unenrolls after January 6, 2025 will be held liable to pay for the remainder of the season (Only exceptions are for our Creative Movement classes since those are rolling enrollment and do not participate in recital).
Current Dancers enrolled in the 2023-2024 main season who enroll for the 2024-2025 season before May 12, 2024 will not need to return a registration fee.
-Anyone who participates in our early registration period will be able to let us know any days/times they are unavailable so we can take that into consideration when making our fall schedules.
- Registration fees are nonrefundable if a student decides to unenroll.
Participate in Early Registration to let us know what days/times you are unable to attend a class. Please note if you unenroll your registration fee cannot be refunded. Early Registration forms are due by June 30, 2024. Once early registration is closed we will make our Fall 2024 Schedules and reopen Main Season registration on July 8th.
Class Payments: Payments may be made weekly, monthly, or for larger periods of times. We are flexible as long as you do not allow class balances to get more than 4 weeks overdue at any one time. Class payments can be made in cash, check, or venmo (@Amy-Famiglietti-1).
Registration Fee: $20 per Dancer or $30 per family where 2 or more siblings are dancing this season. Registration fees must be returned with your registration form for registration to be considered complete.

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday June 5, 2025
Recital: Saturday June 7, 2025
**The Final Week of dance classes will be the week before recital is also mandatory for all students to participate in the recital**

CLASSES OFFERED –
2 - 3 Year Old Dancers: This Class does not perform in recital.
Creative Movement: Beginner and creative movement, dancing, and fun for our youngest dancers! - This class is a 30 minutes
**You can enroll at anytime during the season based on availability. There is no penalty if students need to unenroll from this class since it’s rolling enrollment for Creative Movement.
Preschool, Kindergarten: These classes will perform in our recital this year
Ballet/Tap Combination Class: Students will learn the basics of ballet and tap and will explore and create movement through creative dance! Students will also be introduced to acrobatics and learn basic acrobatic skills. This class is 45-minutes.
Kindergarten (must have completed 2 years of dance)/1st Grade: These classes will perform in our recital this year
Level 2 Ballet/Tap Combination Class: Students will continue developing their ballet and tap skills and perform in two dance numbers in the recital! Students will be introduced to the ballet barre in this class. This class is 45-minutes.
Jazz/Hip Hop Combination Class: This is perfect for our dancers who are looking for something funky, new, and fresh! Dancers will be introduced to jazz and hip hop styles of dance. Students will perform one dance in the recital. This class is 45-Minutes
Acro/Beginner Tumbling Class: Learn Acrobatics fundamentals in this 45 Minute Class.
2nd Grade and up: These classes will perform in our recital this year
Ballet: 45 Minute Class
Jazz: 45 Minute Class
Tap: 45 Minute Class
Hip Hop: Students will learn the basics of hip hop dancing and choreography with age appropriate music and dance moves! This is a 45 Minute Class.
Acro: Learn Acrobatics fundamentals in this 45 Minute Class.
Modern/Lyrical Dance: Modern/Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz that focuses on expression and performance. It relies on the student to think out of the box and convey a story through movement. This is a 45 Minute Class.
** NEW CLASS ** - FACES - A class focused on perfecting acting in dance performance on on stage and on screen, lip syncing techniques, character development, acting while dancing. An all styles approach to creating stories through dance. The dance world of musical theater, broadway, music videos, movies, and more all coming together in one class.
**NEW CLASS ** Elementary Age (2-5th Grade) Ballet/Modern Lyrical Fusion Class - Perfect for the recreational dancers who cannot make week day classes, but are hoping to try multiple styles of dance! Dancers in this class will do 1 recital routine and the instructor will select which style they perform. Instructor will alternate styles each week so dancers learn fundamentals in both styles of dance.
**NEW CLASS ** Elementary Age (2-5th Grade) Jazz/Hip Hop Fusion Class - Perfect for the recreational dancers who cannot make week day classes, but are hoping to try multiple styles of dance! Dancers in this class will do 1 recital routine and the instructor will select which style they perform. Instructor will alternate styles each week so dancers learn fundamentals in both styles of dance.
4th Grade and up (3rd graders on Junior company can participate as well): This Class does not perform in recital
Spins and Leaps: Students will work on spins and leaps in this class. This is a technique class. Length of class will be 30 minutes; this class is free to any students enrolled in 3+ classes. Junior Company and Junior Elite Dance Company Dancers who are not enrolled in ballet must attend a weekly spins and leaps class per their Dance Company Team Contract. If they are not enrolled in 3+ classes this class will be $5 per class.
Students 12 years old and up: This class will perform in our recital this year
Pointe: Students who enroll in Pointe class must also be enrolled in a ballet class and have at least two years of ballet experience and consent of the instructor. Contact Amy for more information. This is a 45 Minute Class.
Private Lessons: Private Lessons are available to dancers of all ages upon request.

PRICE LIST FOR CLASSES AND COSTUME DEPOSITS
45 Minute Classes:
Students enrolled in only 1 class: $14.00
Students enrolled in multiple classes: $10.00 per class
30 minute Classes: $12 per class
Large Family/Single Student Bulk Class Discount: Any student or family taking more than 4 classes will get their 5th and subsequent classes at half price. This applies to singular students or families with multiple dancers dancing.
Costume Payment: Due November 1, 2024 for Recital Costumes: Costume cost will be included in your fall schedule.
We expect costumes to range between $50-$80.00 per dancer. There is no refund on costume deposits, costumes, or other costume related costs.
Dress Code and Other Class Requirements:
Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade: Leotard and Tights are recommended for ballet and tap. 1st Grade jazz/Hip Hop and Acro classes may wear clothes that are comfortable and form fitting so that they allow for free movement, but are not disruptive to dancing. Leggings, spandex shorts, and tank tops are recommended.
All other Ages: Clothes that are comfortable and form fitting. Clothes must allow for free movement. It is important to not wear overly baggy clothes or long pants that cover feet. Seeing the line of the body while students are moving is helpful in making adjustments to their technique in class. Leggings, spandex shorts, and tank tops are recommended for all classes in exception to hip hop where hip hop clothing can be worn.
Hair and Jewlery: Students must have hair tied back off of face and jewelry is not allowed to be worn during class.
Shoes: A shoe list will be distributed when your schedule for classes arrives via email. Students must wear appropriate shoes to classes and rehearsals so that they get used to executing movements in their appropriate foot wear for each class as well as properly break in shoes.
LIMITED ENROLLMENT - Please return registration forms by June 30, 2024 to be guaranteed a spot in your registered classes for this season and also be able to let us know what days/times you are unable to attend classes before we make our season 19 schedule. All registration forms received after June 30, 2024 will be subject to availability in classes.
